Former Mississippi State running back Josh Robinson says he was cited for trespassing at Mississippi State’s football facility Tuesday evening and was quick to point blame on social media at his former head coach for the citation.

Per police and MSU, he was incorrect in placing that blame.

Robinson documented his side of the story to his Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter feeds. The video on Instagram includes two officers and then the camera focuses on a blurry figure on a balcony while Robinson says “Coach Mullen’s called the police on me and talking stuff. Look at this.”

Mullen told the Clarion-Ledger that he didn’t “even know what you’re talking about” when he was asked about the claims. The paper said that after it told Mullen of the details surrounding the incident, he said “OK, well that didn’t happen.”

The paper also reported an MSU athletic department source said a track coach called the police on Robinson because his car was on the track. Campus police said they were called by the team’s track and field coordinator.

A native of Louisiana, Robinson had 1,203 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns in 2014 to go along with 370 receiving yards and a touchdown. He ran for 794 yards combined in his first two seasons at the school.
